Too many around now for it to be successful, unless your forum has a unique feature or idea.

But if you think you'll enjoy running one, then by all means do so. But it's quite difficult getting members to join up, and the rewards aren't too big either.*Signature Removed*

You'd have to have some unique features. Something that another football forum hasn't got. Such as streaming live games etc.
