I was watching a official Nintendo DSi & Software promotional video and seen this, but it gave no clue to what it is.

I doubt there was a point in posting it, If we dont know what it is / What it says.

It looks as though it either turns the DS on/off or lifts the top of the DS up. (Only guessing though)

It looks like what you point at a car to unlock/lock it
That'll be awesome on a DS, watching it flash it's signal indicators
It might be something to do with the camera, like a remote to take the picture with (so you can have your photo taken with your friends

I believe you clip that little "thing" (The pedometer part) onto your waist and have like the DS in your pocket
