Ok, so I've had Microsoft office 2007 for about 2months now. I go on Word last night, try to type & it says
"This modification is not allowed because the section is locked"
Anyone know why its done this & how to fix it. +rep for help

If you're only using a trial it might have expired, if you have it purchased i'm not sure.

Make sure your version of office has been activated.
Go to
Help -> Activate Product
A window should pop-up saying wheter or not it has been activated.

Assuming this is not a protected form, then possibly the application has not
been activated, or it is a trial version that has expired.
-OR-
May be your word document protected by password. Try the following,
Tools--> Unprotect document--> and give password.dan
