    Default Dropbox - Online Storage

    Hey,

Ran into this whilst listening to the Boagworld Podcast.

Anyway, Dropbox is a very easy to use piece of software which gives you 2GB of free online storage space, for whatever you want! (Of course, there will be somethings they wont want on their servers!)

Its simplistic to use, it creates a folder on your computer and you simply drag the files you want to put online into the folder, and your done! Its that easy.

I'm amazed at the ease of use, the simplistic web-interface (for management of files whilst out and about and also so you can access private files) and also the fact that its all free!

You can upgrade to a 50GB plan which is $9.99 a month, or $99 for the whole year. All in all, a great system which is very easy to use.

Best of all, its available on all platforms. I'm currently using it on my Mac, and I will be installing it on my Windows machine soon

EDIT: Just noticed, you can link your machines together so if I upload something from my mac it will appear in the Dropbox folder on the Windows machine. (You can link multiple machines to the same Dropbox)

Its good if, like me, you have multiple machines and want to transfer files and have like a small centralised location for some of them

I think I will also be using it for school files so I can access them anywhere

    That's quite a good idea.

Still not sure what I would use mine for though lol.

Might just set one up for the sake of it, it's free anyway.

Never used SkyDrive and to be honest, 2GB is enough for me at the moment

Another thing I just found out about is it has like Revisions so if you overwrite a file, but then want the old version back, you can restore the old version or open the file
