    Default Relationships and uni

Well i've been with my girlfriend for like 9 months or something, and we've both gotta decide where we're going/what were doing at uni. We've spoke about it a few times but i think we're both scared to say that we should probably go in different directions. Even though we want to be together, the best thing academically would be to go different places. I'm not asking for advice cause i know it's between me and her to decide but i was wondering if anyone else is in this situation or thinking about this? :eusa_danc

I've got a few friends who are in a relationship and they both get to different unis. They visit each other every now and again. What you could do, for the first year is visit each other every now and and in the second year, rent a house inbetween your two unis, unless you live miles away. Academic wise, it shouldn't be a problem if you both went to the same uni, considering it's usually a 1-3 hour a day lecture so you shouldn't be too worried about going to the same place really...

We have already decided.. and we're not even in a relationship..
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

I'm not in the situation but I've heard of it happening to people. Just try and make it work, if the unis you are going to aren't that far apart and you can easily travel between the two when you have the chance, give that a go but you just need to remind yourself if you do that it might not work out so you shouldn't build your hopes up and have them broken when if it don't work out.

We both decided that neither us can do the long distance thing, so i guess it's either we go somewhere near or we just mutually split. I think maybe i want to be single at uni, i guess it varies really with different people and how serious they think the relationship is.

My two friends have been going out for 1 year 7 months and they went to the same uni this septemeber, tbh Amy said if they hadn't had gone to the same one they would have split up she thinks. But now they're together she thinks they'll make it So yeah try if you can to stick together

    Hey there.

I think this one mostly depends on your relationship, for me it actually worked out pretty nicely staying with my girlfriend, the first year was a bit of strain with the distance and not getting to see each other so much, but this year is much better (we are now living together in-between our two uni’s)
So if it’s at all possible, I’d say give it a shot. If it doesn’t work out in the end, so be it, you haven’t really lost anything you wouldn’t have anyway after all.
