At 7.6 stone, you shouldn't really be that fat looking if you get what I mean. Crunches should get rid of the belly.

I think you need to burn the fat away, go running or jogging.

Yes, burn the fat away and put muscle on

You will then weight the same, if not more because muscle weights more than fat

I think swimming is good, as your exercising pretty much all of your body

Your body chooses where the fat is stored, you probably are just a bit overweight for your height but you carry alot of fat around your stomach area which can make one feel uncomfortable about there weight.

Anyway, crunches wont help If you are just doing them alone. Change your whole diet and lifestyle, include more fruit, veg and meats into your diet and alot more excersise. With no excersise going on a low fat diet will be rather pointless. You need to burn up all that un-used carbohydrates and calories (that's what the fat on your stomach is!)

And renember, if your planning on doing weights I suggest you first build on your cardiovascular fitness and make sure your not carrying any un-needed weight

Having past experience, three years ago at 15 I weighed at 16 st 4 lbs, and measuring at 5"9. I was 28.87% body fat (I was considered "obease")
Three years later I now weigh at 14 st, 8lbs and measuring at 6". 7.56% body fat.

I'll be posting up some pictures soon so I can see what proggress I make over the next year
