New Layout... Thoughts?

Hey.

I'm thinking of finally starting up veso.co.uk. I was planning to make it a social networking website, but there's too much competition out there. So I've decided, I'm going to start a web design company in that name offering various web design services such as layout designs + coding.

This is the first draft design i've come up with. Let me know your thoughts.



I've used the content from an older layout as that layout has been scrapped and I liked the idea, so I thought I'd incorporate it here.

Agreed, the shadow looks weird.

It would most probably look better in a live version, but from this the navigation bar bit looks a bit...plain? Maybe putting divide lines in between each menu option may look better but I duno

Yeah I tried t make a sort of break/shadow thing, didn't work tho.. haha.

Thanks. I did try the separator in between links but it didn't look right. I have a few ideas to try out so I'll get that sorted. Thanks.

Looks good, although I would add some flavor to the menu, it's too bland in my opinion. Agreed with everyone else, shadow breaker looks out of place. The dark wood background and the rotator (I presume) with the light wood goes very well together.
