Removing Windows XP

How would I go about uninstalling Windows XP, its on my old laptop which I just want gOS on. Should I just delete the windows folder or is there a proper way of doing it?

Install "gOS" over the windows partition.

As calon said reinstall gOS and it'll remove windows.

I would use the windows disk to delete c drive containing windows

but seen as though you have a disk just install the new OS over the windows OS
