Default Netgear WG602; Cannot access Web Control Panel.

I have a WG602 as my WAP for my home.
I had to reset it as it froze today and now it has the network name "NETGEAR" (which is default) and is set to open (which is, also, default).
On the bottom it said the URL to the control panel was 192.168.0.227, I tried this and as many variations as I can think of. I also tried Ping-ing them all and I get "host is down" response from Terminal.

This Mac uses DHCP but none of the other computers in the house do. I connect primarily by WiFi and I can't seem to find the settings for DHCP under the AirPort tab in the Network tab of the Preferences window. If someone can explain how I'd be able to use DHCP and AirPort then I will try that.

At the moment the networks sitting there unprotected because I can't access the control panel to do anything to it.

Anyone with any thoughts or ideas please post 'em!

NOTE: I'm on Mac and I have been for a while so all this Windows mumbojumbo doesn't make sense to me

Dno nothing about macs but can you get ipconfig as if you can you get the default gateway (if it isnt 192.168.0.227 as usually default gateway is 192.168.2.1 or .0.1 or .1.1 )

I did ifconfig and got that, if it makes sense to anyone.

If I go to 192.168.1.1 then I get a login screen which isn't for my router because when I go to 192.168.0.1 (router) I get the Login to FR114P dialogue which is my router.
I tried the admin and password for the login screen and I got on SOMEONE ELSE'S WIRELESS ROUTER CONFIG. LOL.
So this means something's broken with my WAP?
I tried resetting and everything but it doesn't come up on my list of networks.

Okay there's now TWO networks called "NETGEAR" and one of them isn't mine, however I can access the control panel to it via the usual 192.168.1.1 and the username is default as is password. I renamed it NETGEAR1 so I can tell it isn't mine. I know it isn't mine because when I turned mine off the Netgear1 stayed.

The one that IS mine is still called Netgear and I can access my router but not the WAP's control interface. So it's sitting there open :/

Help! Have tried connecting the Wap directly to my Mac via crossover cable and non-crossover but it didn't work.

    N!ck: Tried that. Didn't work.

    Will try those...

Could it be the case that my WAP is making 2 networks? When I unplug it, the NETGEAR network goes away and then when I turn AirPort off and back on, the NETGEAR1 network goes away too.
Except on the control panel for NETGEAR1 it's a Router with a different model number to mine?
    Could be dodgy firmware?
I've never seen any other Netgear networks previously, however.
