Safest Email Provider? [+Rep]

Not sure if this is the right place for this or if the information is already somewhere on the forum, if it is, please could you direct me to it and close this thread.

Now I have wiped my C: drive and my PC is spyware/virus free it is time to create new accounts. So I was wondering which email provider to use. Googlemail/Yahoomail or hotmail? Or I can use the btinternet yahoo that come with the internet we bought for the house. +rep will be given to all posts that contain any helpfull advice!

Your own cPanel email would be the safest but I'd go for GoogleMail or something such as http://www.ymail.com (also instant emails)

I've never had a problem with Hotmail.

Custom domain emails suck as it gets flooded with porn/viagra adverts :rolleyes:

I used to use http://www.fastmail.fm/ which was pretty good

I would say try to go for an obscure email provider, and like use fake details (such as like, Location: Greenland and Secret Q: Favourite Pet - A: Deal or No Deal)

I still use Hotmail for my main account, because I personally prefer it

I use Hotmail and it's okay besides a few hiccups where I got hacked but that was on my own fault. Just make sure your secret answer isn't anything to do with the question but you can get remember it and that your password is really random like ch3353 or something, so it isn't like cheese and they can get onto it. Gmail is good also.

I also used Yahoo! Mail, which is quite good, but I prefer goodmail.

I've synced both with Mozilla Thunderbird, much like outlook but with all of Mozilla's products, compared to Microsoft, it is very secure, fast and user freindly.
