Default LG Monitor - Various Q's, anyone?

Right, well I'm thinking of getting this monitor off eBuyer:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/149336...roduct_reviews

I want to know that will it being VGA signal only make the image quality any less out of my Mac mini (Intel Core 2 Duo, 1.83Ghz, 2GB RAM) and future MacBook (White, IC2D, 2.1Ghz, 4GB RAM).
Also, with my Mac mini and the MB, will I be able to run it at the specified (best) resolution which is 1680x1050? I know it's not a lot of money for a monitor but I'm not sure on eBuyer's returns policy. If it works, I might get 2 (1 for the MM and 1 for the MB) so anyone who can help me would be awesome.

    Cheers!

As far as I know the VGA signal shouldn't change the quality too much, also the resolution can be changed in your Macs settings if you go to

System Preferences>Displays Then you change the resolution to the 1680x1050 then it should work perfectly fine

Also the contrast ratio for that is really good I have a Screen with the same and it does all of my graphics reliant games really well

    Hope that was helpful

Yeah that's helped, I just went to look at the MM and 1680x1050 is there on various Hz thingies.

I still need to know if my future MacBook will support the 1680x1050? Anyone with a White MacBook w/ Intel Core 2 Duo can help me with this?

Took the words out of my mouth... The computers resolution just needs to be set right for the screen to work, most computers are compatible with most resolutions as far as I know

Right sorry, but actually on the list of resolutions on my MM, 1680x1050 is NOT there. I misread 1680x1037 (or something).
So should I just get a 21" widescreen instead because that's a more common size and should be supported more than 22"?

Tom, I took your advice before and I'm not doing it again. The thing ended up breaking and I had to get another iPod.

Thats odd that it wouldn't be there, tbh I am not a Mac geek in any way so someone who owns a Mac may be more helpful, but I assumed that the resolution would be on it...
