    I have this layout i've coded and it works fine in firefox but it messes up in IE;

    how can i fix this?

    It's like to do with your mal-formed mark-up, you've got multiple doctypes and a bunch of other elements that seem to be repeated. I suggest cleaning it up and making it W3C valid via the validator more precisely the link to check your site - http://andyfx.x10hosting.com/ once that's done upload it again and I'll take another look at it.

    it's not really a website, I was just hosting it for my client to see..

    Nothing's wrong with the link, but your coding isn't valid and therefore is likely to result in browsers loading it incorrectly. So I gave you a link to the validator so you can fix the validation errors.

    In my time as a coder I've found that making it valid creates more problems than it solves. Firefox and IE both read code differently which is why it's difficult to get it right - it's most likely that your code won't be valid to get it sorted, mind.

    The formatting of the code is very messy and there seems to be multiple doctypes, head and body tags which are cuasing IE to go crazy, clean the coding up a bit and remove the un-needed code and it should work .
