Okay this is referring to another users thread about the rules. But why are our posts copyright as soon as we post them on here?

I'm guessing because the content of your posts is on Habbox's servers, they copyright it.

If what you're saying is true then there is a copyright conflict over the Google logo that I have just posted as HabboxForum would be claiming copyright over the logo too since I just posted it. If copyright belonged to them and I posted inappropriate content, then HabboxForum would be responsible at the end of the day if they own copyright? I haven't looked into your claim but it surely isn't the case.

    They assume ownership, not copyright.

I think it's because people might say "remove my posts", with that in place HabboxForum doesn't have to remove them, as it's their content.

That was a stupid example for so many reasons such as the fact that its trademarked, the fact that the image isnt hosted on habboxforum and the fact that we do not have ownership over their logo.

Who says your posts are copyrighted to habbox?

That's fair use so you can use it

And @ the thread starter: Erm... why does it matter if it's copyrighted or not? Who would it be affecting if it was?

Although I don't understand exactly why this matters I belive that HabboxForum as stated in the terms and conditions does not "copyright" the content you post as you are the author however as stated te post itself is "property" so to speak of Habbox. If you could explain exactly how this relates to anything or what issue you have with this then maybe I could answer your question properly.

I think this is basically just so say that you cannot claim you "own" that thread or post if we close it or lock it or remove it or edit it. It's basically stating that we have the right to, without notice, moderate threads or posts that user make.
