    Default internet on iPhone [rep]

I'm on pay as you go on my iPhone, and I have a wifi connection for the internet. I was wondering if it's possible to accidentally start paying for the internet if the wifi connection breaks or something... Because I know it's expensive and I don't want to accidentally go on the internet and be charged for it. Is there a way to stop it from doing that?

Unfortunately not. If you go out of range of your Wi-Fi router and lose connection and you start browsing again without realizing you will be charged, I think there's an app for for jailbroken iPhones though that stops this.

Just go into Settings then look for Network under General and remove the settings in APN. Sorted

btw to add on the APN is under the subcategory "Cellular Data Network" in Network. I usually keep the original APN in the Notes app or removing a few letters off the APN also works, so you can still use it if you do need it. If this doesn't work in UK, you can also call the mobile provider to cut your internet.

To make sure really no data has been used, remember the numbers for data transfer (General > Usage > Cellular Network Data) and when you use any internet app it will give you a popup saying cannot connect if you don't have wifi on.

you get 12 months FREE 3G internet from o2.. as thats what I get.

    *

Go to settings menu, choose General
    *

Choose Network, then Cellular Data Network
    *

In the APN box, change mobile.o2.co.uk to payandgo.o2.co.uk - you don't need to change the user name and password
    *

When finished, switch your iPhone off and back on again.
    just do that
