Dumping someone because they smoked?

This is not me. This is a friend's situation and I got picked to sort it out. And, I can barely be bothered to do so, so you're gonna help :

Basically he's had a girlfriend for a few months and she's been smoking for around 3 weeks now, and he really hates it. He decided yesterday that he was going to dump her if she didn't stop. He goes and tells her this... Long story short; She dumped him before he could dump her because she had "no intention of stopping" for him, and dumped him for being "inconsiderate". That's a bit unfair?
And now, he really wants her back and I don't know whether this whole things going to happen again...

The one advantage of having me to sort it out is that me and this girl are good friends. Could I try to get her to stop and get her back with my friend?

I wouldn't say it's unfair at all.
She might have not been considerate for him but either was he for her.
If the relationship really mattered to either of them, they could compromise and maybe she could smoke just not around him and yeah.

Yeaaaaaah... I suppose that's true.
Tomorrow I'm going to tell him that he should see past her smoking if he really loves her. That's probs gonna help. Well, I don't have any better ideas D:

What the hell, thats completely distraughting to hear, whats so bad with your partner smoking, haven't you heard of asking them to take it outside!
