Anyone know how to get it working?
I did a little bit of googling, but couldn't find anything conclusive.
I deleted some decent films so I could fit that on my PC aswell![]()

I've set the permissions to 'Everyone' now.
Running the installer now, hopefully it will all go smoothly.
Thanks for the link, +rep
Edit: need to spread.

This happened to me before and I had to reformat the PC then it worked. Try installing new CAB files.
Yeah, when I was googling there was a few people who ended up reformatting to sort it. That's why I posted here, I really didn't want to format it.
But the installation seems to be going ok, it's taking ages but that's because this PC's old. Although it appears to have fallen asleep during the 'Applying Updates...' bit, it's been stuck on there for ages.
You probebly have to be a power user or a admin, try locating the registry key is REGEDIT, Run : REGEDIT.exe
and look for that specific place it's talking about. see if you can add a blank key into it then delete it straight away. remember, back up using Sys Restore before doing it
Hope it worked!
Oh and for your, stuck @ applying updates, dont connect to the net while installing, let it update afterwards![]()

And that applying updates problem turned out to be caused by my PC being incredibly slow, not a problem with Office![]()
Glad you got it working. Reformatting is a pain in the backside. :@
