    Default AOL/Dial-BB problem (+18 rep)

    don't say 'get rid of aol it's rubbish' or anything like that because you're just annoying

    right well when i load certain websites, or a website with pictures hosted on another site, i keep getting a 'connecting dialbb' popup box thingy and the page won't load until i've clicked cancel on that.

    it comes up with an 'error 678 - the remote computer did not respond' and the options are 'redial' or 'cancel'.

    websites will only load once i've clicked cancel on it.

    any ideas? or can someone look on google and give me info on how to make it work NORMALLY

    Okay first of all reset your IP.

    Which Router are you on? I can help you fix it manually, since I'm AOL too.

    Go to a browser, type up 192.168.0.1 and the password admin or 1234

    Check if all details are correct.

    Turn off router
    Turn off modem
    Unplug both leave off for about 30 seconds.

    If that doesn't work as above you can reset your modem back to factory condition and re-enter any appropriate info you need.
