you need to make sure both sides of the windows are embedded in the wall, like look how far the windowsill sticks out on the left compared to the rights and how much the frame on the left would show if it was as deep as the right side.

i dont know about the ivy also.

Ye, basically cover some of the top with sticking out bricks
