    Default TinyURL API :)

    Not sure if anyone has seen this, I found it the other day thought it might come in handy to someone on a project.

    Habbox is stupid.. remove the * from the URL's

    http://tinyurl*.com/api-create.php?u...ameiscaleb.com

    Returns a tinyurl for a long url.

    Example:

    PHP Code:
    <?php

    $longURL
    "http://www.mysite.com/directory/gdsofksjlfsdfs/dsfsdjdfklsdj.html";
    $domain = @file_get_contents"http://tinyurl*.com/api-create.php?url=http://{$longURL});

    // $domain is now the TinyURL provided to us..

    echo $domain;

    ?>

    I knew there must be a tinyurl API because twitterbar and other toolbars and stuff, but I couldn't find the link to it on tinyurl, and googling takes so much effort
    Now I just need to find a use for it...

    Basically does it let you cover a really long URL (e.g. www.site.com/dafvjcvcscv/final_page.html) with a short one (e.g. www.site.com/final_page.html)? Or am I just missing the point?

    I don't really get it, but why is Habbox stupid anyway?

    No, say you're trying to rick roll someone or need a short link..

    You use TinyURL, and get the link (it would be something like ************/23jtiog) and you give that link out, they go on it and it redirects to the page that you set.

    Oh right. And I think I just realised he was talking about the forum not letting him post what he wanted so he had to use the asterixes (*). I thought they were relevant .
