iPod Touch

Right, Ι've been thinking about buying an iPod Touch (or these ), but I don't know if I should get one of the new ones or one of the older ones.

So anyway, what are the main differences between them?
And are the ipod touches that good? Or should I go for some alternative brand?

Same with me. I love it! I just need to get my radio remote working and find a jailbreak for 2.2 and then it will be perfect!

Well I'm mainly interested in it for music, but the wifi seems pretty decent aswell.

Any idea when jail break will be available? I don't really want it if it can't be jail broken

The new Touch has a build in speaker the old one doesn't. And with the new one you are sure that you have 2.1, if you buy one of the old it maybe don't have that, and if it don't have 2.1 you will have to pay extra for that. (The 2.0/2.1 is the App Store)
