Hate it. You've done what everybody does on their first layout and just uses tons of gradients provided by photoshop Try looking for inspiration.

I like the banner bit, however its a bit too tall.

You've done some quick boxes and a gradient overlay...

I wouldn't call that a layout, You need to style it.
