    Default Books to movie?

"It's not as good as the book"

so what films do you think are better than the book? It'll be interesting to see what we get.

I think Lord of the Rings is the only triology that's better on screen than on paper. I didn't like his writing style tbh

I'm not a massive Tolkien fan as LOTR is basically a set of long children's stories (Silmarillion and The Hobbit are better tbh) but I didn't like the films either haha. Just hard to please I guess.

I can't actively recall any films that outshine the books they're based on, but there must be some. There are some pretty good directors out there as well as some pretty crap authors lol

Evn though I'm a big Philip K. **** fan I think Do androids dream of electric sheep? is marginally better in film version. His other work such as minority report and we can remember it for you wholesale were better as stories though.

I can't think of any movie which is better than the book..
I find that having read the books will automatically make the movies disappointing.

i find that if i read the book i never like the movie as much.

personally i always thought that HP was better then the books ... maybe thats because i could never be bothered to read them.
