The rain spreads eastwards this evening and becomes steadily more persistent as it does do. As it crosses Scotland and northern England it will be turning to snow on its leading edge. This snow is likely to become heavy and will last for much of the night leading to 10 to 15cm by the morning.
It better be good!

I've not seen any decent snow since year 6 :] If it does snow it would be nice, all we've been getting is sort of slush/ice mix that freezes every night
