    Ok i have a intel pentium d 945 in my pc and i goiing to upgrade it
    to intel q6600 will it work

    Depends if your motherboard will support the slots that the Q6600 uses and Pentium is fairly old so I doubt it would. If you wanted to upgrade, you'd need to get a whole new motherboard.

    Far as I am aware they are the same socket, so a Q6600 would fit, but I doubt the BIOS would be compatible with it.
