    Default a long time ago...

    I built a computer, havn't used it since now... rightio

    Well, I didn't put the CD drive in right, and in "my computer" I do not see it, I only see the floppy drive..

    I went in to bios to add it.. but it's all gobbady goop!!!!

    how do I add the cd drive?

    Trying to install xp on this bit. a friend said XP will run.. just get another 256MB sd card, (witch I have done and installing upon arrival)

    but there is no cd drive installed! I hate server 2003!

    Sure the CD Drive is plugged in the motherboard (Or IDE cable) correctly?

    Make sure the molex power cable is plugged in.

    i'm sure, it turns on alright, just won't be able to see it in windows..

    Not at all? even not under the unknown devices?

    If thats the case then its not plugged in correctly, remove all cables and replug em to make sure they're in properly.

    If everything's plugged in correctly and it doesn't appear in the BIOS then the drive's knackered.

    Maybe try a different molex power connector to it just incase though?
