    Default New layout

For a non-habbo website I'm thinking of making.

Any thoughts of how I could improve it. I think the dropdown menus and buttons are probably a bit too chunky.

    1. By not using paint
    2. Use fireworks or photoshop and use the roundness tool, and don't be so harsh on the corners
    3. Every navigation tab thing at the same size, in the same position
    4. Colour's that aren't so dull.

    A million more ideas..

    3. This is only a rough design, I haven't coded it yet.
    4. What would you suggest. I want a kind of dark feel to the website.

A few gradients wouldn't be the end of the world.

You should use that as a baseline, build it up.

You start a house with boring foundations and build it to become something beautiful. That layout has a potential to be something really nice if you worked on it and kept posting updates asking for improvements etc.

If you want a dark color scheme, try surfing colourlovers.com and search for dark palletes. That's what I always do

I really wouldn't advise using that. You won't get anywhere.

Nevermind then. I'll work on coding the actual site before I carry on with the template.
