Okay, can someone explain to me the Sims 2 site. When I download like cars and things, can my Sims use them? or do I need a specific expansion. Can I download pets without having the pets expansion or what D;

Pets can't be used, because they can only be used through the Pet Creator or Adoption feature, which without the Pets Expansion, won't exist.

If you're gunna download a pet for your sims to use then, yes, you will need the pets ep - same goes for the car, you'll need night life

On the site is should say what expansions it requiers. Some requier others and some dont. Like when i had sims 2 installed, i had a car i didnt need nite life for.

I think you can get cars on any expantion pack, but need Night Life to be able to use them
