Good Website Idea?

I was thinking on making a website, were each week i post a few really good youtube videos. So that people can find awesome clips, and get their work well known. Sorta like newgrounds except youtube (and other video hosting sites) links.

I was just wondering if its a good idea. If it is, and theirs a chance I'll get a fanbase I'll start working on it (im going to start simple, and if more people come I'll pay for more features and stuff)

So... is it good? and would you ever goto it?

and also any name ideas? the only one i can think of thats available is What2Tube.com :S

Yeah lol couldnt think of the word ^^ except people wont just be able to submit their videos and be up. Like albinoblacksheep.com how they only show the good videos

i definately think theres potential with the website as people are always looking for ways to get their work known on youtube! apart from that other people are always looking for funny clips to share with their friends etc, but just don't know what to search.

you need to make a website thats professional, yet looks attractive and not dull. so bright colours, but not like habbo-ish if you get me
i definately would visit it for sure, i'd like to be a part of it aswell as i spend the majority of my time on youtube haha!

Ty for your input guys. I think I will start making it. I'm going to take it slow though, so that theirs no major mistakes or anything. But, once its up I will probably try to get some people abroad to help with the video picking and all of that.

Lol yeah its not all to original, but theirs not many sites for people who are just new and wont a good fanbase or just suck at finding funny videos (like me)... hopefully my site will be able to help them. Of course I'LL have to get a good fanbase first but well yeah ^^

Sounds quite promising actually. If you can get the right videos for your user base and keep them interested it would work. You should get a little system so when the user signs up they can choose options ie, "Favorite music genre" etc. Once this is done your system searches through the tags on youtube videos and grabs the video, displays it

Yes, I like it. People are always 'YouTubing' nowadays and having a bit of a community where people can put forward what's good on YouTube and what's not would be a great idea. Good luck with it if you decide to go ahead.
