FTP Hosting

Hey,

Well my friend is having trouble with his host, so I was wondering if I could host him via FTP, ill explain more.

Okay, i have the average cPanel hostung.

In /public_html/ if i create a folder called "sitename" how would I make a FTP thingy connect to there only via an e-mail address.

I know , well i think u can so plz help

When you create the folder

Go to cPanel >> FTP ... >> Add new account >> Fill in boxes and it should say select directory somewhere... Select the sitename folder then wallah.

Theres an option in the FTP account creation form where you can select the directories that account can access
it'll be like

public_html/sitename

I've done that, but the address to go to is [email protected] and I want it to be shortened

you can't shorten it from what it is already, unless you buy a domain and add it onto your cpanel account.
