Question about eBay fees

I recently sold, on behalf of my step brother, a very expensive camera on eBay. However, I had to reslist it THREE TIMES in order to sell it to a genuine buyer who was willing to pay.

The image below is my invoice from selling it the first time, but the buyer was unable to pay:



I see it is there twice. One with "15.60" - I assume this is what I had to pay since it was sold. Underneath it, it has "-15.61" - Since I had to open an unpaid item dispute, I guess I recieved a credit, yes? So I was refunded, as proven there? I'm assuming the figures with a little minus next to them is what I am being refunded.

The next one is slightly bigger.



This time is when the camera was bought by a scammer whose account was closed after he bought the camera. Also, this time I added a Buy It Now option, which the scammer had used. Once again, I had to open an unpaid item dispute - which I'm assuming is the "-£16.10" - correct?

Finally, the one below is when the camera was sold. The payment is being processed, and I understand that I - or my step brother - has to pay.



So does my step brother owe me £35.30 for listing his camera?

Another confusing part of eBay which I need explaining:



Why is £54.08 listed there? Can you explain all this?

Yes you get charged for your sales You end up having to pay something like 17.5% (probs 15 now). It's sort of like you pay VAT.

Yeh, each time you list it costs you and then for each feature you add on such as buyitnow option, gallery etc. it costs you a wee bit more.

As your item sold for quite a high price you've got quite a bit to pay back.

Everything you outlined is right about relisting and all, for each time you had to open a dispute they refunded you (the minuses).

And for the bottom bit you said you didn't understand, with ebay fees you need to pay so much by a certain date.. a bit like a bill. So it's saying that you need to pay so much by that particular date - but you have done other activity which hasn't yet been applied to the bill for you to pay but will rollover for you to do so next month.

Well the first invoice of £30 or whatever it is, is for all your activity up to the 15th I think... then what you have done after that has amounted to a charge of £50?

£50 is a bit much, but I'll keep my eye on it.

The £35 you see is for the previous month. This will be other items you have sold not the camera. The £54 is this month and you will be invoiced for that in Jan 2009. The camera listing fees will fall into the £54 payment next month.
