Your is jailbroken as in only applications can be installed the unlocked will be sim card unlocked so all networks can be used.

You may be able to jailbreak your iPhone 3G, but you wont be able to jailbreak it.

You can only unlock the 1gen ones as of yet, but a release is said to be after new year.
