Default Would it be worth it?

I've been thinking about starting up my own vB forum for a while now... but I dunno if its worth it.

Experience is no problem - I've admined a forum thats generated over 1 million posts before, but sadly, its not so popular as its used to be. I've also been a mod of various other forums, but nothing major, I guess they had around 10K posts each (from memory). So yeah, I guess I'm pretty well positioned to run my own forum from that point of view

Money isnt a problem either. With it being christmas today, I've just landed myself a wad of cash so paying £55 for a vB license isnt really too much of a problem, and I already have hosting.

But the problem is... generating activity and coming up with something to make a forum about A habbo forum is a no, there are too many already and I dont really use it so much anymore. I'm in to gaming, but there are also waayy too many gaming forums about I'm thinking maybe a Killzone 2 forum perhaps... its meant to be the PS3's 'Halo', and there aren't any other Killzone forums about yet. Perhaps thats an option.

Basically, I dont want to plunge £60 into something that wont really take off... hmm.

I think you misread I was thinking of doing a Killzone forum, not a Halo one.. I'm more of a PS3 guy tbh!

Nah, not a 360 fan, I would make a PS3 forum or just a general gaming forum but there are too many already. I'd rather specialise in just one game or one smaller area that there perhaps aren't many others already about.

I've made a few free forums before, one got around 500 posts but that was between 4 people... lol. I tend to find that people dont join forums made on free software I deffo know that I prefer to join a vB forum rather than a phpBB one for example, as it shows the owner is more serious about it, having paid money.

Hmm... I think I'm gonna go for a Killzone 2 forum, still not entirely sure though!
