I'm currently in the middle of registering for xbox live, it asks for bank details to prove your age.. Also at the side it says you will not be charged at this moment.
Does this mean no money will be taking out of the account?
Or none at this moment but will further on in the registration.

its a type of membership which allows you to play online games silver is free but you cant play online with your mates and get download content later than gold

you can speak to ur mates on silver but not play games so its best to pay fiver a month or 40 quid a year for xbox live gold so you can
