If your pc is getting slower my advice is to backup everything you need and reinstall windows.
That's the easiest and most effective way.

    CCleaner

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware!

I recommend Kaspersky or ESET Smart Security.

If its getting slow, just format Windows as said.

    Anti-Virus?

AVG isn't going to be free for much longer (I think theyv'e stopped giving free service?) there moving into the money-making zone (like Norton) and will eventually become a crap overpriced av.

Anyway I would go with Avira or Avast, or if your looking to buy one then go with Nod32 or Kapersky

That's bull, there was a rumour circulating around a year ago, msybe longer that they were removing free AVG but it never happened, and since then there have been no other rumours so if you could show us your source?

Before you go re-installing windows you could tell us some specs and how old the computer is and how much crap you have on it? CCleaner, avast!, ad-aware will clean up and keep safe your computer at a decent level.
Also, defrag and remember that WoW does slow down your computer
