    Default New PC

    Hiya

I'm looking to get a new PC around mid-january sometime. I'll have about £500 to spend. Maybe a bit more..

I wanna buy the base unit and monitor seperate and I can always find a good monitor from ebuyer or something for around £100/£120. So about £400 for the actual base unit.

I've been looking around and I know the basics and stuff but it's just when it comes to processors and graphics card etc.

~ What is an average processor now? Like dual core, amd, intel etc??
~ Average graphics card? I don't want something really big and intense gaming but something simple gaming like The Sims but not like Call of Duty, GTA IV etc, etc.

Another question, best place to get a custom built PC? Were I can choose what parts I want, like built in wireless, size of HD, ram etc.

I've looked at Arbico and Dell atm, Arbico seems to be okay. Any others?

I'll start looking into getting one properly when the time comes near, just need a bit of heads up.

    Thanks
