You've most likely got the wrong idea of what a Radio server is and how it works.

You don't create your own servers, you get someone to host them for you. For example go to any Hosting website and purchase a Shoutcast server. From there you'll log into your Castcontrol panel and retrieve all your information.

Of course from here you'll need to put the radio script up on your website and set the correct information in, as well as in your SAM or Winamp, depending on the broadcasting program you're using.

    Good luck

 If you purchase a SHOUTcast you won't need anyone to host the SHOUTcast for you... lol

Or if your after someone to host the website I recommend, hostgator.com.

Yes you can, It's just not a good idea, depending on the volume of listeners you're aiming for and how powerful your computer is.

    I've done it before.

A host does the exactly the same thing but externally, so I'm not sure you know exactly what you're talking about, although there's a good chance you just worded what you said incorrectly.

But yes, HeadLawyer the main point is you don't want to host it yourself,
Personally i would suggest ukHosts4u, they do mine, I pay 6quid a month for 200 slots, 128kb/s and unlimited data transfer.

I would seriously recommend not buying a Pay as you go server, because you pay for every Gig of transfer you use, and you can hit up to 10Gb in less than a full day at about 10+ Listeners.
