Ok I live in a village right, it says my wireless connection speed it 54Mbps. On the internet things load very fast and go not hardly ever have any problems on laptop/comp. (Maybe when i used to play counterstrike on laptop becoz specs were crap lol)

    ALTHOUGH

My download and upload speeds are basically nothing

I was wondering would i be able to play ps3 online with such bad download and upload speeds. Or would that have nothing to do with it (except downloading updates etc) and it will run fine at 54Mbps cz thts quite fast

I'm going to work so i'll give rep for good answers when i get back

That's an unusual speed test. You should contact your ISP... that is definitely not 54MBPs.

Some aspects of playing online will be fine because your upload speed is perfectly good (352kbps).

However, your download speed is absolutely terrible. Pages will load at an OK speed but that really isn't much to do gaming with. As I said, contact your ISP and ask them why you're getting under 100kbps speeds.
    Kind Regards,

    Guy

I've never seen someone do a speedtest before where the upload is larger than the download :S

As iUnknown said, get in contact with whoever provides your internet.

    1. Dont bother complaining to BT
    2. Dont change to another phone line ISP, they are BT in disquise
    3. Phone Virgin Media and pay them to fit fibre optics.

Seriously, BT suck in terms of everything and that proves it. Just before I quit BT we had to endure 2 months of them promising to fix our line. If you do for some chance contact BT all you will get is an indian reading a flow chart and looking at porn.

54mbps is your network speed, not internet speed.

Thats the speed you can access/share files etc on your network.

The 92kbps or whatever it was is your internet speed. If you played any game on that really it would cause you to lag like hell.

I'd say go with virgin medias 10/20mb pack its only about £20 a month and works fine.

How many computers are on your network? were any downloading anything at the time? That could have caused the huge ping and rubbish download speed.
