Right everytime I go on Gametrailers.com it tells me theres a worm, if I try and close the dialogue box it simply destroys the connection to the webpage.

    Ideas?

gametrailers.com contains a worm, you try closing it and avast blocks the worm from infecting your computer, it has to do that by closing the connection to the page so any javascript or malicous code can't infect your computer..

 Bit of an obvious one..

I'm sorry dude, but that was a bad comment.
If its so "obvious" then why would he post it as a question?
He's posting because he doesn't know, so respect that. -rep.

Don't go to that site, it has many a worm and viruses

I've been using it a good year and a bit and I've had no problems with it before?

Could be false positive. Try another anti virus, AVG or something and see if it detects anything.
