I think this is the same feature as when you sing on CokeMusic. On cokemusic, you can make music (which is now Trax on Habbo) and play it on stage. Then, your messages were italic, which means you're singing.
I think Habbo is getting to the music concept from cokemusic. The wriggly speech bubble is supposed to be the singing bubble?
