Default Help! Partitioning in Vista +REP

I have 66GB free on my C drive in vista (140GB drive) but the prebuilt Vista partitioning system seems to think that 130GB of the drive is full and I can only partition one 10GB file when I need one 16GB partition (No prizes for guessing why). Is this a common error and how can I fix it? (I've tried defragging so dont suggest that )

    +Rep to any attempts

Same here but I can't even shrink my C drive at all , it says 0 bytes are free :S

Looks like I'm just gonna overwrite my OS

I have 10,000ish MB free. I even deleted 12GB of files but it still says 10,000 MB on the partitioning part. Can anyone shed some light onto this?
