Weird problem

Right, when my laptop is plugged in charging and I get yelled for dinner or something I often just close the screen. Instead of hibernating like it normally does, it restarts itself. Fair enough I never lose anything but then when I come to turn the laptop off normally later on that night, it restarts again like three times.

Anyone got an idea?

I don't get your problem

When you close your screen it restarts?
When you turn it off it restarts?

In control panel go to power options and make sure its set to do nothing when lid is closed.

Yeah but it only restarts when turning off after I've closed the screen if you get what I mean.

How do you turn your laptop off? Do you press the button on the laptop or start > shutdown?

Start shutdown everytime.
