Default Live 8 my problem with it

Ok well they act like its a great thing but IMO its not. Why the hell are you raising awarness and talking about how people are starving in africa? DO SOMETHING! Your holding these concerts with atleast 10,000 people at them a dollar a head thats some money for Africa. Just my take

They want the goverment to cancel Africas debt they ow other countries. The concert was never about giving money it was showing that the millions of people who went and saw it on tv want it to be stopped!

The Live 8 concert was organised not long before the G8 summit for a reason. Bob Geldof wanted to raise everyone's awareness on the subject of the poverty in Africa including the leaders of the countries in the G8 hoping they would cancel the debt to Africa.

It was never meant to raise any money, the whole purpose of the concert was to raise awareness about the subject.
