Xbox Console help!

hey guys,
My Xbox does not seem to wana play games,
I have tried all my games and when i put the disc in it says reading disc then while the disc is still in the console it says open tray like it doesnt realise theres a game in side.

Is there anyway i can fix this without bringing it to the shop?

I think your xbox is knackered.
Take it back to get repaired.

try a external dvd drive via the USB plugs? if thats possible o.0

When you insert the game, Wait for a sound then tap your cd drive, You might have a prob with your LASER not moving back tapping it should manually move it.

Make sure the console isn't slanted, it messes up the lazar and sometimes wrecks your disc, I had it happen to my halo, pretty much scratch half the original maps off the disc..
