Default RESEARCH: Fansite owners please read!

Would you be interested in a fansite technical support service.
If you had a technical issue and you needed emergency help would you be interested in the service?

    Hi,

I don't see how it could be "emergency" help and how good you could class your skill levels as. What would you typically do for answers? Google searches etc? Would there constantly be someone manning this service to help such 'emergencies'.

Personally if I had an issue with anything I'd read all documentation and go to php.net etc, I wouldn't go to a website to talk to someone who would probably do the same. I feel there would not be enough interest to man such a service but if you do decide to go ahead with this project then best of luck to you. I just feel that people that require any technical help would be better off reading a manual and learning themselves.

    Best of luck

Most fansites have someone working on tech side, but, for newer ones without there, its good idea.

I couldn't see it being a big success as technical issues can differ a lot between each hosting server/website/users all sorts. Basically you'd have to have some 24/7 support guy fixing other peoples bugs and people (i doubt) will pay someone (if thats what you plan to do) to fix them when they could just hire or co own a site with a technical minded person.

Maybe a resource fansite with tutorials on specific subjects that relate to Habbo fansites but personally i don't see that taking off much too.. most people just ask on forums if all else fails.

Far better off contacting your own hosts tech support. Also I doubt anyone would get very far without being able to deal with problems anyway.
