Default UEFA considering limiting club spending...

Michel Platini says Uefa is considering the possibility of capping spending by clubs because football could "financially implode".

The 53-year-old former France international added: "That limit would be salary and transfer fees combined - to an as yet undecided percentage of its direct and indirect sporting revenue."

Platini stated that one club's "astronomical bids" were "morally" questionable.

It's probably just an idea for now, but if instigated, what kinda affects could this have for English football?

Now me and Adam are about to insert some knowledge into this thread. Firstly it conflicts with the European law. And you really think Barca, Real Madrid, Manchester United etc will sit back and let this happen?

He's just saying it to keep the current big clubs big and the small clubs small, thinking they'll accept. They wont, simply because how will they spend their money? £100,000,000 for Ronaldo to RM???

He can **** off back to his G14 pals.

I think I'm with him on this one, but Michel Platini is a **** regardless (who just hates the Premier League). I don't remember there being all this hoo-haa when Zidane was sold for £70M.

must have been euros then lol. There have been big money signings in the italian/ spanish leagues that beat the premier league record. Zidane, Figo, Crespo, Buffon...
