    Default Want 2 install OS X

    I want to install OS X on top of my windows 7.

    Ive backed up everything I need but just wanted 2 know is it just like installing vista over xp etc.

    Or have i just got it completley wrong?

    I thought id just download, burn onto disc,
    put in boot disc and then follow instructions?

    No, you have to load a partitioning program, to remove Windows you'd have to use GParted to boot it and delete the Windows partition, then you'd format the partition as FAT32, then you have to boot the OS X disk and install patches etc.

    IMO, its very hard to do, as easy it is to install, you have to find the right drivers, back them up and do quite a bit of command line work because it isn't an official Mac computer.

    If you don't know that much about computers then I wouldn't advise it, but if you want, check out www.insanelymac.com

    Dont want to end up messing up my pc.
    But do you have a tutorial or know how to downgrade back to Vista?
