GoDaddy and permissions...?

What's with GoDaddy and contact forms? I updated a contact form using phpFontGenerator. I'm guessing is the only thing wrong would probably be the permissions and you can't edit them through FTP.

Does anyone here use FTP with their GoDaddy website?
If so, do you have to set the permissions in order to have simple scripts on your website?

I'm currently working on a client's website and I use FTP, I uploaded the site he wanted on my website and everything worked out. Once I uploaded it to his GoDaddy hosted website the contact form didn't work.

It might just be the permissions. I might just have to access is account. Just let me know your thoughts...
