    Default Question On Licenses.

    Hey guys,

Recently i've heard about radios shutting down due to the Licenses. Before anyone says, i understand its not sulake and its the law.
    Moving on to the point...

I listen to an online radio called WC Radio, Witch is a warcraft radio site. They play no music, if they do its adverts and warcraft music. (This is because its mostly all talk shows)

So if they play no artists that require you to get a license (ie: user made warcraft songs) They dont need to get a license as it wont be breaking the law and the songs arnt registerd to be licensed?

    Many thanks, Swinkid.

Thats correct, I presume. You could ask them about this/read their T&C's. (PPL)

Correct, they are playing no copyright material so no license would be required as no royalties would have to be paid

The only thing they'd really need to do is check that they have cover for playing commercial advertisements/warcraft music.

They shouldn't need to contact PPL though, perhaps another company.
    Kind Regards,

    Guy

you can dodge all licencing laws by editing the song a little bit ie. Mixing it with another song.

And displaying clearly, "FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES ONLY"

    Thats dodges everything
