Default 0SX86 on Acer Aspire 3630

Well yeah, I want to get Mac OS X running on my laptop, can't afford a MacBook at the moment.

I just downloaded and burned iDeneb 1.4 and basically I can't install it. It Just shows the Apple logo with a spinning thing underneath it and then a kind of no smoking sign. I've booted with -v, -f both never worked, just goes to "Still waiting for root device."

I don't know how to fix it.

    Some information:

Still waiting for root device means that your hardware isn't compatible with that version

I'd like to add, I've tried Kalyway and iATKOS before and it never worked, could it just be incompatible, period?

Nope, building a Hackintosh on my desktop was the main reason I bought my iMac. It made me see what it was like. As well, in the BIOS there is no option to change it to AHCI.

    1. How many drives do you have?
    2. Are they IDE or SATA?

Considering this is a notebook, usually these problems occur with a desktop.

(by the way, the "-f" flag is for reloading kexts, you won't need that yet).

In verbose mode, what errors do you get, usually it stops at something before you get the "waiting for root device", do you get any errors at all? watch it close.

USB DVD drives can sometimes fix this problem also.

But since you're a notebook, I'm not really sure what to tell you.

    1. One drive
    2. IDE

I don't get any errors, it just gets to "Synaptics Trackpad blah blah" (This is in Verbose mode) then stalls for about 2 minutes then says waiting for root device.
