Sims 2 Expansion Problem

Well, The Sims 2 I just torrented works fine on it's own, but I just downloaded all the expansion packs with the cracks etc, and when I click the .dmg (I'm on OSX Btw) this comes up:

The Sims 2 does not appear to be installed correctly.
The installation of The Sims 2 (located at /Applications) is not valid. Install The Sims 2 against to fix this problem.

I've done what it said, still don't work. Does anybody know how to fix this?

not to fix it. when u downloaded the torrent for sims 2 that will work great on its own. when u get the expansion packs and install them they need a certain file which only appears on the disk. most torrents tend to miss it out and thats why u cant add expansions to ur sims 2 torrent as it needs that file. its there to stop torrenting really. thats y its just easier to go out and buy it for cheap it is.
